Alex Childs, Doctor of Medical Science (DMSc), and Certified Physician Assistant (PA-C), provides healthcare services at the Grantsville location of Mountain West Medical Group. Alex focuses on delivering evidence-based care and making sure each patient receives the attention they need. Alex has a special interest in genetic screening for hereditary cancer risk, and pharmacogenetic (PGx) testing and offers both right here in Tooele County.

Outside of his work in medicine, Alex enjoys spending quality time with his wife and children. Together, they take part in a variety of adventurous outdoor activities, including camping, hiking, and mountaineering.
Alex also has a wide range of personal interests. He enjoys writing novels, and when he's not exploring the mountains, he can often be found scuba diving, rock climbing, or skiing. His love for both creativity and the outdoors reflects the balance he brings to his professional and personal life.

The staff at this clinic went above and beyond for my visit and my sons. We love the friendly receptionist who was very kind to answer all questions. The MA was so sweet and took my concerns to heart and treated me more like family than just another person coming in. Dr. Childs was more than amazing, he took time to go over everything I needed, my concerns, and he really gave me options to help improve my quality of life. Absolutely the best service in Tooele. The staff and Dr. Childs did an outstanding job seeing me. It was quick to fill out the paper work and I was checked from head to toe with my appointment. Add to add they have a very clean office and fast on acting if there’s a possible emergency. I want to thank all of staff for being pleasant and welcoming.
