Catherine Carter, MSN, APRN, FNP-C, MSCP is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with Mountain West Medical Group, providing comprehensive family medicine care in Tooele, Utah.
Catherine is a Menopause Society Certified Practitioner (MSCP) through The Menopause Society, the leading authority on menopause and midlife women’s health. She is one of a limited number of providers in Utah to hold this certification and offers specialized menopause and midlife care for patients age 40 and older, using evidence-based, individualized treatment plans.
With nursing experience dating back to 1988 and a Master of Science in Nursing earned in 2010, Catherine brings extensive experience in family medicine and occupational health. She previously practiced at the VA Western Salt Lake City Community Based Outpatient Clinic and served as a clinical mentor for nurse practitioner and physician assistant students from the University of Utah, Brigham Young University, and Gonzaga University.
Catherine provides family medicine services in Tooele for patients ages 13 and older, treating a wide range of conditions including:
- Acute illnesses such as colds, flu, sinus infections, UTIs, and back pain
- Chronic conditions including diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and asthma
- Menopause symptom relief

Getting to Know Catherine Carter:
Catherine was raised in Salt Lake City and has called Tooele County home for over 30 years, where she lives with her husband, Jeff. They have two sons. Outside of the clinic, Catherine enjoys running, biking, skiing, and spending time outdoors, taking full advantage of all that Utah has to offer.
